Of all the versions selected for La Maison du Whisky's Artist range, this Bunnahabhain holds the record for the highest number of years spent in cask, clocking in at 44 years of age. Despite being produced at a time when the distillery's malt was either unpeated or only lightly peated, it is characteristic of Islay's single malts. Its very salty character and intensely peaty retro-nasal olfaction are undeniable proof. The charming and voluptuous palette of flavours and aromas also demonstrates a remarkable unity of tone, as seen in the licorice hues that create a deeply ingrained connection between the palate and the finish. A limited edition of 546 bottles.
