Chinon Chenin Blanc - Domaine De L'r

This Chenin Blanc is grown in the Chinon appellation, but Domaine de L'R uses it to push the envelope and demonstrate the interesting nuances that Chenin Blanc can naturally express in this terrior. In the cellar, Frédéric is a strong advocate of minimal intervention winemaking, using only indigenous yeasts and stringent addition of sulfite, totaling less than 20 mg/L and classifying this wine as a 'Natural Wine'. This Chenin Blanc is vinified in stainless-steel vats and aged furthermore on the lees for 7 months. This wine exhibits aromas of white flowers, pear, and citrus. On the palate, it is dense but crisp, with good minerality.
